Robert S. Sheen
Robert S. Sheen

Robert is the CEO and Founder of Trusaic.

Combining a law degree with his extensive background in tax and finance, Robert has built Trusaic into an industry leader in helping organizations successfully manage requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), achieving a 100% compliance rate in filing ACA information with the IRS. The company continues to have one of the largest employment tax credit practices in the country. And Trusaic is developing new services, including in the areas of pay equity and data quality management, based on its evolving data and analytics capabilities using workforce data.

Robert is a graduate of the University of Southern California, in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Finance. He earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, concentrating in Tax Law.

He began his career at the public accounting firm KPMG, then joined BDO USA. He is a member of the California State Bar Association, and past President of the Korean American Bar Association. He is a former trustee for the USC Pacific Asia Museum and a former board member for MTV’s Rock the Vote.


Joanna Kim
Joanna Kim-Brunetti

Joanna Kim-Brunetti is Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel for Trusaic. Prior to joining Trusaic, Joanna was a partner with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, a leading international law firm.

Joanna has over 20 years of legal experience advising clients on a wide range of regulatory, employment, tax, intellectual property, and other related business issues.

She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, with a degree in chemical engineering, and earned her law degree, with honors, at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.

She is a former President and current Board Member of the Korean American Bar Association, a Subcommittee Chair of the American Bar Association and a Judge Pro Tem of the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Nicholas Starkman

Nicholas is Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs and Counsel for Trusaic. He has advised clients on a wide range of employment and employee benefits issues. He holds a J.D. from the University of California, Davis (King Hall), and a B.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies from DePaul University with an emphasis on public policy.
